    Right out the box, the dust cover was the first thing to go. Not that something was wrong or wasn't wrong with it. I try to avoid problems when I can. My handguard is a quad rail. So no removing the dust cover without removing the handguard. Forward Assist seems operational and functional. This upper didn't come with the BCG or Charging Handle. Looks to be a decent mil-spec upper. It is a low profile for the picatinny rail. If you have your handgaurd already, and its a high profile, check for one that is high profile. This won't match with high profile handguards, only low profile. Price is budget friendy. So not much else to comment about. Looking for decent .308 upper, you've found it.

    Works but not correct

    It holds the barrel correctly and the works the action but the bolt assist is not molded in the correct place. It does not engage the side of the carrier bolt group to help with stuck cases.

    I bought the upper from SOTA and the lower from RTBA. I’m not sure where the problem is but there is a noticeable gap at the rear pin section. This is just putting them together with out the pin kit installed. I’ll be picking up the lower parts kit this weekend. I’ll get it installed and see if that fixes it. But other then that I have no complaints. The coating is good and no sharp edges that I have found. After doing some checking. There are no real standards for measurements on AR-10. Next time I’ll get the upper and lower from the same manufacturer.

Successful Assistance!!

Please forward this info to Louis-I cleaned everything again and noticed pieces come out of the bolt in front of the firing pin. Must be pieces of primers from the normal ammo? Cleaned and put it all back together and shot 10rds of hornady 95gr flawlessly.
I've always heard of picky guns or bad ammo...just never experienced it until now. Thanks again for all your help...your customer service is unmatched!!
